Book Launch: "Shailendra | A Love Lyric in Print by Amla Shailendra Mazumdar", Delhi 27^th December, 2024

Ibaadat organized the launch function for the book "Shailendra | A Love Lyric in Print written by Shailendra’s daughter, Amla Shailendra Mazumdar at the India Islamic Cultural Centre. It was a unique book launch function…it had portions of the book read by Amla, a fireside chat by Prithvi Haldea and Amla with the chief guest, Prasoon Joshi (poet, lyricist and screenwriter), a panel discussion with Swanand Kirkire (lyricist and playback singer), Raj Shekhar (lyricist) and Puneet Sharma (lyricist and dialogues writer) moderated by Pavan Jha (film historian). There was interspersing of songs by Sarvesh Mishra and Prajakta Satardekar throughout the function.

Despite rains through the day, it was a full house. The event received phenomenal appreciation.
