Kaviraaj Shailendra, Mumbai 30th August, 2013

This show was earlier staged in Delhi and received huge appreciation. Encouraged by this and the feedback that we have received from the audience in Mumbai to our past shows, the Kavirraj Shailendra show was staged in Mumbai on 30th October, 2013…the 90th birth anniversary of Shailendraji…at the Veer Savarkar Auditorium.

16 of his most poetic film songs were rendered by our team of outstanding singers; 1 accompanied by dance. There were also recitals in tarannum of mukhdas of over 50 of his most famous songs as also 3 of his best poems. The show was again scripted in conversational style.

The event received an overwhelming appreciation.

What touched me most about the presentation was its "simplicity and sincerity." The casual, non-pretentious format made me feel like I was sitting in a voice recording studio of 1960's.
