Simrat is a Professional Singer trained in Hindustani Classical Music. She has been performing for stage shows and recordings for the last 12 years in all spheres of singing. Her singing has been inspired by legends such as Kishori Amonkar, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. She has performed at prestigious venues both in India and abroad and her vast repertoire caters to various genres of music and different languages such as Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi and English.
Simrat is a Graded artist from All India Radio and has had extensive music trainings under various Gurus in the tradition of Guru-Shishya parampara. Simrat has earned First class Sangeet Visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi – India and has a Post graduate degree in Music from Delhi University.
She has lent her melodious voice to many telefilms, jingles, spots and title songs of various TV serials.
